Smart recruitment require an experienced Manufacturing Engineering Estimator for our client based in Castle Donington, Derbyshire.
We are looking for a pro-active individual with a sound engineering background and excellent interpersonal skills. The estimating role exists within the Engineering team and reports directly to the Engineering Manager. The successful applicant will be responsible for creating detailed quotations for the manufacture of fabricated and machined components.
The ideal candidate will display the following:
- A graduate in Aerospace Engineering or equivalent.
- Experience working in a similar role producing detailed quotations and estimates for customers.
- A strong technical background preferably with fabrications experience.
- Fully conversant with aerospace standard engineering drawings and familiarity with heat treatment / processing specifications.
- The ability to problem solve and deal with ambiguous specifications.
- Computer Literate, with excellent numerical and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of project planning and coordination activity.
